VOICE OF THE MORNING 22ND JUNE 2018

VERDICT OF POSITIVE ATTITUDE.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

Anytime I read this scripture, I read it with the consciousness of listening to the verdict of a jury. But truly what could you expect from Apostle Paul than such a conclusion: as an Apostle and prof. Law in his own class. I once heard a story of an elderly woman who lived in a nursing home. She has been a resident of this particular faculty for several years and she had been in the same room for her entire stay there. One day, The management of the nursing home decided to shift the current layout to accommodate more residents to another room. They decided to relocate Mrs. Diana to another room down the hall. When the orderlies came to move her to her new room,  she was so excited. She told everyone that her new room was the most beautiful one she has ever seen.  The Orderly replied “Mrs Diana, you haven’t see the room yet so how can you be excited about it? ” She said to him,  “son, I choose to be excited regardless of how it looks because I have already decided that it will be the best room I have ever had.” wow! What a verdict for a positive attitude!

What is an attitude?  An attitude is a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something,  typically reflected in a person’s behavior. Have you ever met someone that was always cynical and pessimistic?  They set the glass as half empty rather than half full.  In fact, the pessimistic doesn’t like the colour of the glass rather the quality of the water. This should not be true of us the believers! The scripture admonish us to think on things that are pure,  lovely and of a good report. How do you view people and circumstances?  How do you view yourself?  All these things are part of your mental attitude. Many people may not be able to see blessings and favor in their lives, because they have a negative mindset. They are always complaining about the circumstances of their lives. Beloved Brothers and Sisters, this is not the way God intends for us to be.  Infact, one of the main difference between prophetic people and pathetic people is their attitude. Be Prophetic to yourself.

PRAYER: abbas Father,  I thank you for every blessing and opportunity you have extended towards me in Jesus Name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I prophesy today that the grace and capacity to refuse, reject and shield you from negative, cynical or pessimistic tendency in your life is released in your direction in Jesus Name.

Study and meditate on the following scriptures: Ephesians 6:12-16, 2 Corinthians 10:4, Psalms 29:7-9.

WORD FOR THE DAY: There is always something to complain about but for every one negative thing, there are a hundred positive things to be grateful for.
