Federal High Court in Abuja has granted N100, 000  bail to Senator Dino Melaye.

Senator Melaye was charged to court on a two-count charge of giving false information against the Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Government, Edward David. After the charges were read to him, Dino pleaded not guilty.

The presiding judge, Justice Olasunmbo Goodluck, ruled that a person is innocent until proven otherwise. She granted Dino bail on the grounds that the Federal government failed to provide evidence of persuading the court to deny bail.

The trial has been adjourned till May 16th and 17th.
