The Ad-Hoc Committee in the Senate  on Mounting Humanitarian Crisis in the North East. The committee indicted the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, of awarding contracts to a company which he has links to.
 Dino Melaye who spoke during the deliberation, called for immediate resignation of Lawal.


Babachir is in charge of the Presidential Initiative on North East PIN.
The committee in October heard of how a company was awarded a contract of N270 million just to clear grasses at IDP camps. The committee in its report, stated that it discovered that most of the contracts were bogus and awarded to government officials or their associates. Here is the report….
