Days before now,there have been great fears of impending crisis in Ondo state with the State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko raising the alarm that there were plans some people to cause mahem in the state during the polls.


And there were actually reports of an outbreak of violence in Owo which led to the death of one person.

Daily trust reported that the major towns including Owo and Akure, on Thursday evening and Friday, there were no sign of any crisis.

Residents were seen carrying out their normal business notwithstanding the public holiday declared the state government on Friday.

Also, heavily armed security officers were seen at strategic positions in the towns visited while the Police carried out a ‘Show of Force’ in Akure streets.

As usual, movement will be restricted on Saturday as from morning in the state till 4pm. In the evening
