Here is a story of a domestic violence victim that has been able to break free from her abuser and she’s sharing her story alongside a photo showing how much she’s changed since her days of being battered.
Her beautiful name is Mercy Makinde and she recently on social media shared a side side photo of her battered face in 2006 and another of her glowing in 2016 and that makes 10 years. She went on to reveal that the trauma that comes from domestic violence could take years and it took her 10 years to heal.
