“And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.” (Luke 18:40-41).
If you will picture with me the Bible in John 14:9b Jesus said “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?”
Our God is an all knowing God and Jesus is an embodiment of God the Father. But from our scripture we see where a man standing before Jesus when He commanded for him to be havested from his position of crying out for help. The blind man had been crying out loud repeatedly. “thou Son of David, have mercy on me” the cry had reached the ear of the Lord. He knew what the man wanted and was ready to grant it to him, “what wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” Jesus wanted to hear not only the general petition for mercy, but the distinct expressions of what the man’s desire was that day. A man’s desire varies every second, minute, hour and day and that was why when the disciple of Jesus demanded to be thought to be thought how to pray.
He include to them the daily dosage of the meal of the word; “Give us this day our daily bread”(Matthew 6:11; Luke 11:3) because our spiritual nutrients fuel our physical manifestation, “man shall not live bread alone, but every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Mathew 4:4, Luke 4:4).
Untill he verbalize his desire, The blind man would never had beed healed. At the place of prayer your affirmation is the confirmation of your possession.
There are petitoners to whom the Lord puts thesame qeustion who cannot get the aid they need untill they answer that question. Have your prayers seems to be unanswered? How definit and specifit are you to your request. Have you asked in Faith not wavering? .
For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed (James 1:6 paraphrased).
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavery; (For he is Faithful that promised) Hebrews 10:23. God is not a man to lie. Bankruptcy of our prayer leave us starving for the results of our desire.
Our prayers must be a distinct expression of definit need, not a vague appeal to His mercy or an indefinite cry for blessing. It isn’t that His loving heart does not understand or is not ready to hear our cry. Rather Jesus’ desire such definite prayer for our own sake, because it teaches us to know our own need better.
PRAYER: O LORD, remove from every department of my life and that which will hinder the purpose of God for my life, in Jesus’Name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I decree today the grace for precision and accuracy to demand of your desire at the place of prayer is release to you in Jesus’Name.
