As Nigeria and the world at large continue to experience a total lock down because of the outbreak of Coronavirus; the feeding, welfare and total well being of the populace has become a thing of concern for well meaning humanitarians. Businesses are all locked down, hunger might be the next thing to take the lives of people especially the underdeveloped or developing nations.
Today Monday 30h of March, Saudat Empowerment Foundation (SEF) an NGO with the objectives of empowering the youth, helping the less privilege took it upon herself to help cushion hunger caused the movement restriction and stay at home order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The foundation visited three wards(Bagama, Magajiya and Wambai) in Suleja Local Government of Niger State.
Some of IAMBESTNETWORKS team who were part of the humanitarian outing reported that food items like rice, semovita, salt and other food ingredients/spices were shared among the old people and less privileged populace. The founder, Saudat Usman in her address said for the love she has for humanity, she had to do this. She added saying that, in her own little way she will do more to help her community and the general public. She also asked the general public to strictly adhere to government orders and WHO health safety measures to avoid the spread of the virus.
