News got to us that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)yesterday took over a vessel, MT Water Gate 1, in Rivers with eight (8) crew members for suspected illegal bunkering activities.

The vessel was allegedly laden with estimated 200,000 liters of illegal refined AGO and the product became questionable after the Captain refused to disclose the source of the product, hence the arrest and handing over to the EFCC.
