The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Match Day 6 fixture was watched a full house at the 20,000-capacity El-Kanemi Sports Centre.

The home team took advantage of the massive support and dominated most parts of the encounter, but fell short of converting many scoring chances in the process.
Hussain Muhammad scored the only goal of the encounter in the 78th minute when he cashed in on a defensive error the visitors.
After the game, both coach Ladan Bosso of El-Kanemi and Enyimba’s coach Gbenga Ogunbote expressed satisfaction with their players’ performance throughout the encounter.
“We knew it was going to be a tough match, so we trained hard and it paid off,” Bosso said at the post-match conference.
He said the victory would boost his team’s morale towards making great impact in the league this year.
“Last year we finished 8th on the table, but this year our target is to finish among the top three, and I think we are moving towards achieving that goal,” Bosso said.
On his part, Ogunbote described the match as difficult.
“The match has been won and lost no doubt. Actually the home team frustrated our game plan denying us any space to move.
“But we are going back to the drawing board to prepare for the remaining league matches.’’
