Former minister of Transportation during Goodluck Jonathan administration has defunct to APC

Our correspondent gathered that  Former Minister of Transport during the Jonathan administration, Idris Umar and his supporters   announced their defection from PDP to APC over the weekend at his hometown in Dadin Kowa, Yamaltu/Deba local government of Gombe State.
There are rumours flying around that he wants to contest for governorship position in his state Gombe come 2019.  Umar was one of the founding leaders of PDP in Gombe state. 
In his speech, this is what he said

“After several deliberations and consultations, we decided to join the APC, in other to join our friends and brothers who have gone before us, to revive the political glory of our state, and bring about massive development.”
