The Nigeria’s top gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey who broke the internet with a worship and prayer livestream session on Instagram and Facebook tagged ‘Hallelujah Challenge’ has slammed Nigerians who are quick to accuse pastors of adultery.
The challenge also known as OlowoGboboro, a 30-day midnight livestream session had over 90,000 participants from all over the world including Nigeria’s A-list celebrities, Tiwa Savage, D’banj, Rita Dominic, Funke Akindele, Uche Jombo and Don Jazzy, Weird MC several others.
The Nigerian site reported that Nathaniel Speaking earlier today at the grand finale of the ‘Hallelujah Challenge’ held at Glitz Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos, the singer said he has no plan to indulge in adultery and will never be dragged into a sexual scandal.
He said “I don’t have any plan, this one (referring to his wife) is enough for me. If you’re waiting for me to get involved with another woman, you will wait until you become tired.
“My father, Pastor E.A Adeboye has been married for 50 years, I am his true son and a lion cannot give birth to a goat.”
In a prophecy directed at Nigeria’s star actress, Uche Jombo-Rodriguez, the fire-splitting psalmist declared that her next movie will be a blockbuster.
His words: “Uche Jombo, because you have worshipped throughout this Hallelujah Challenge, my God will surprise you, your next movie will be a blockbuster.
“I was just on my own when CNN called me and said come, that same manner God is set to locate you,” he said.
The singer further thanked everyone who took out time to participate in the social media worship session and his team for making it a success.
