Jeremiah 29:12-14 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
Alot of Christians understand the benefits of prayers, yet they treat it with levity. The few that pray seriously still do not really know what prayer is. Because of this, their prayer lives lack results. Our anchor scriptures reveals to us that we pray unto Him. Mark 14:38 says” Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.” May I quickly submit to you based on the scriptures, that it seems to me, the Almighty God is limited to intervention based on our prayers. I know religious people want to argue this based on their theology and spiritually philosophy.
But, Matthew 18:18 says “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:” you see, you must first bind on the earth before heaven does it’s own share of the binding.
Take note however, that God never acts against His Will. Prayer does not alter that which God has predestined, it only help fulfill it. God only needs a man to agree with Him on what heaven has foreordained.
WHAT THEN IS PRAYER.
Prayer is not really all about expressing our wishes and desires to God. It is more than asking God to do what we need. Prayer is the union of your thoughts as a person with the will of God; it is speaking out the will of God through your mouth and asking God to fulfill His need or purpose on your life.
The highest level of prayer, is not the one that you asks God to supply your needs. Whatever that you need, God knows it even before you ask or pray about it.
Jesus showed us the highest level of prayer in Luke 22:45 “nevertheless not my will, but yours be done oh Father.” The will of God is the highest form of prayer besides our other request and supplication.
PRAYERS: Father, help me with the grace at the place of prayer to shift my focus from my wants to your will in Jesus Name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I decree that the season of dissipation of every form of confusion in your life and destiny receive divine intervention and direction in the Name of Jesus.
