The King James Version in the same Verse describe him as a “Stripling” and the word “Stripling” is the Hebrew word “elem” which literally means “something kept out of sight.” when saul the King of Isreal saw the audacious step David took in projecting himself fearlessly against Goliath of Gath. The Philistine, he asked Abner the commander of the Army the question in our text “Find out the lineage of this raw youth.” which is very significant. Your lineage is your line of announcement, physically or spiritually.
The meaning is; before God brings a person into line light, He keeps him or her out of sight. Saul must have known all the valiant men in his army, but Abner ” where did you get this unprocessed raw material youth from”
It was as if Saul was saying ” Abner all armies we have, i know their content is not this raw youth of what lineage specie is he made of.” cause his content is not characterize in all the battalion or troops of army of Isreal-I see that becoming your case from today.

Obscurity always precedes notoriety (or populanty) preparation in secrets precedes manifestation in the public. In every factory the processing room is always at the back while the showroom is usually at the front porch of the house. That is work, God works. He would always work on people behind the scene before presenting them to their generation.
Moses was prepared at the backside of the city; Apostle Paul was comissioned on the path to a wrong mission outside the city. If therefore your life and destiny still look as though it is out of sight, there is no cause for alarm. David was there. The most important thing is to ensure that God does a thorough work on your life and character. Do not hurry out of God’s training, preparation and working.
The tragedy of our generation is that many want to arrive at the show’room(in front) without going through the workshop and they exist and operate distastefully with tendency of imperfection. A frame of furniture looks ugly untill its been cushion.
