Not long ago, the Plateau state police command confirmed that more than 86 persons were killed in the shooting carried out suspected herdsmen in Gashish district of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The police spokesperson of the state command, Mathias Tyopev, said about six persons were injured while 50 houses were burnt. The report said:
‘The figure that we have now is that 86 people lost their lives in the attack, six people injured, 50 houses burnt 15 motorcycles and 12 vehicles were burnt in the attack. ” Tyiopev told Channels TV.
The state government has since declared a dusk to dawn curfew in the area.
