The FCT Youth Stakeholders forum has debunk the false news ongoing on various media platforms about the cause of the demise of Abuja activist, Yunusa Ahmad popularly known as Buhun Borkonu. Some major news outlet had during the weekend published news about Buhun Borkonu being involved in some sexual engagement with one Ruth and his refusal to eat but only took alcohol and energy drink. This narrative has been reported to be false and thus issued a press briefing. Read below:

While his family and friends mourn, the entire Original Inhabitants of Abuja are not left out in the grieving of the sudden and painful death of Buhu as fondly called.
The death of Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf has proven that he was a national figure. Most popularly known as an advocate for the democratization of the political structures in the FCT.
Most people who talks about his death today wouldn’t have known him from his private life other than the manifestation of his works. His vocal criticism of bad governance and frequent chant for national freedom of speech and expression.
Anyone who tries to detail his time on earth might certainly be caught in awe when compare to another account of his life.
As good believers in the holy book, we would ordinarily repeat after the golden words of Jesus Christ when he found his disciple worried about the dead. Jesus told them; “Let the dead burry the dead”. But as humans, we are saddened and at the same time sobbed the loss Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf given that he was a voice to the voiceless. In a world full of oppression as we find ourselves, the death of Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf is a colossal tragedy to our nation and the bracket of the middle class society.
Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf was a serial entrepreneur and a courage to many other people. He founded and co-founded many business entities including 3G3 Services Limited as well as FCT Reporters a news base corporation tailored towards exposing government and political atrocities.
As a man of the masses in another quarter, Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf was a the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded Kaduna Local Government elections.
Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf was not just a social critics but a poised humanist devoted to ebbing the sufferings of the less privileged.
Throughout his times, he championed grassroots good governance advocacy across the entire FCT and was always a supporter of integration of the indigenous people of the FCT.
However, we have found most stories circulating in the mainstream and social media as the cause of Yunusa Ahmadu’s death misleading and it is only natural that we question the source of the information. We have seen in different quarters that Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf was 47years old while others say he was 45years of age. In same news, others have also related his death to sexual impropriety without evidence.
Anyone who knew Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf whether as a family member or close associate will attest to his underlying health issues. But it is heart wrecking to think that humanity is losing its values and what our society is sliding into. Instead of reeling his several glaring acts of courage, we have chosen to denigrate his corpse with falsehood.
As a people who share in his sacrifices, we join his immediate loved ones and associate to mourn his sudden demise and to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and ask God to grant the entire FCT the fortitude to bear this irreparable burden of his death.
