“And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” I Kings 18:21
I have heard it many times that new level attract new devils, and in every battle there is an equal mantle to tackle it. And the area of your mantle will determine the nature of your battles.
I heard a stroy of late Arc. Bishop Benson Idahosa of Blessed Memory, that one day a man appeared on the TV to cast news and announced that the late Bishop will not live to see December of that year and instantly the TV broadcasting network went blank and resumed few minutes later only to find out that it was another man that has to complete the news broadcasting without mentioning any thing of such again. Then later it was discovered that at the time the first news caster mentioned such an utterance against the servant of God(late Arc. Benson Idahosa) he was also equally watching the news and he stretched forth his hand from his sitting point and thunder stroke instantly at the T.V station, power seized and the man paralyzed, ceased stroke, so he had to be removed from the seat for another to complete the news. Can you just shout POWER.
Now from our anchor scripture the man of God stood on an outcropping of rock on the side of the mountain addressing a crowd that spanned into the distance. “How long will you falter between two opinions? He cried. All the able bodied of Israel who could come had gathered at the prophets invitation for show down between the kingdom of Ahab and the Kingdom of Jehovah. On Elijah’s cliff of rock he stood alone, on another opposing him stood 450 of Baal and 400 prophets of the Grove who had come at Ahab’s command and represent his gods. The odds were overwhelming lopsided to the natural eye, but Elijah seemed unimpressed the multitude he faced. Many in the crowd sensed they would see blood that day. It would be Elijah’s last day to trouble Israel.
