“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” (Luke 18:1).

Prayer is regarded as the most crucial engagements of the christian in his relationship with God. Apart from being an avenue for intercession and supplication, it is much more a platform for the intercourse of humanity with divinity involving divine exchange and communion.

It is important to note that prayer is a measure of certain qualities in a mans life. The value a man has for prayer potrays many things in his life and is a major determinant of other events in his life.

There are facts that confirms the necessiaty of prayer, and i want you to ponder on the matter in the closet (1 kings 17:1)

1. Prayer is the connection of a man with God’s presence.
Prayer is a basic necessity because it establishes a contact between the creator (GOD) and the creation (man). It fills you with the presence of God.
In Exodus 33:15, Moses said, “if thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hance.” what Moses was saying in essence is: I have seen all manner of wonders and sign but, i need your presence.

2. Prayer Births power.
In 1kings 17:1, Elijah said, “Before God whom i stand…”
The place of prayer is the Labour room of power. In Acts 3, as Peter and John were going to the temple at the hour of prayer, they met a crippled begger at the gate and they manifested the power of God.

Beloved, you must travail in the closet in order to prevail in public. Pray without ceasing to see the power without limit. The depth of your inner life determines the height of your outer life.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for the privilage of having access to your presence. As I seek you early, let me encounter you for a change of life, LORD in Jesus’Name.
