Retired General Yakubu Gowon, Former head of state on  Thursday visited
President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Reason for the visit was not disclosed as Buhari and the ex-military leader held a closed-door meeting inside the president’s office.Gowon left the Presidential Villa without responding to questions from journalists on his mission.  This is the second time the President and former head of state are holding such a closed door meeting.
