It has been confirmed Ishaq Rabi who is the commissioner for Education in Jigawa state Jigawa state has spent up to 245m naira on feeding students who are boarders in their secondary schools.
The commissioner said it after rumours were out that the government wants to send the children home because of the present economic recession in the country but she said that the government has increased the feeding of students from 90 naira to 135 naira per student daily.
She said there no plans to de-board students and the government is doing lots of things that other States are not doing especially in the area of taking care of student’s needs.
