News reaching us that the Adamawa State government has dissolved the management and governing council of  Adamawa State University, Mubi and sacked its vice chancellor.
The state education commissioner Kalepwa Farauta is appointed to replace the vice chancellor to stabilize the university, the government said in a statement.

The decision was taken at the weekly meeting of the state executive council, according to the information and strategy commissioner Ahmad Sajoh.
The university had been embroiled in protracted crisis involving the government,  the management and the academic staff leading to strike actions.
