The honourable member, Olusegun Odebunmi of the House of Representatives pushing the controversial bill seeking amendment of laws establishing the NBC and the NPC, disclosed today Tuesday 13th July on Channels TV that the bill has been suspended.

The bill is aimed at amending the Nigerian Press Council and Nigeria Broadcasting Commission Acts . There has been allegations that the bill will tame alot of positivity in the Nigerian Press industry theretempering with freedom of speech.

The law maker said he will be making further consultations before bringing the bill up again.
