After the NCDC announced that Niger state had a covid-19 confirmed positive case, the State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello also declared a complete lock down in the state for two weeks. According to the Governor everyone is expected to stay home to avoid been infected with coronavirus.
It’s to this effect that the Suleja Local Government Chairman Abdullahi Maje with the Covid-19 Task Force team he inaugurated and other bodies including Saudat Empowerment Foundation (SEF) and Security personnels took it upon themselves to embark on sensitization. The sensitization which started today Monday 13th April 2020 is aimed at educating the public more about the deadly pandemic, Covid-19. The Chairman and his team who walked around certain streets and about 3 wards in suleja town laid emphasis on staying home, adhering to the safety health conditions and applying social distancing.
According to the chairman, this campaign against covid-19 and its sensitization is expected to last for a week or more till the message is passed and understood.
This sensitization will be taken to other wards and streets in Suleja LGA till it’s aim is achieved.
