President Donald Trump drew backlash on Monday March 16, after he described coronavirus as a ‘Chinese virus’.

The US President said this after giving an address on Monday afternoon in which he revealed the country may be headed toward recession and called for social distancing.

Tweeting in support of industries affected the coronavirus, Donald Trump wrote;

“The United States will be powerfully supporting those industries, like Airlines and others, that are particularly affected the Chinese Virus. We will be stronger than ever before!”
