Reports have it that the Nigerian Police under the Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, to the rank of commissioner of police. Up until this promotion, Magu was a deputy commissioner of police.
In a statement released today PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, 17 other senior police officers were also promoted the commission.
Among those promoted today are Agbola Oshodi-Glover, an assistant inspector-general of police in charge of Zone 11, Osogbo, promoted to the rank of a DIG, Ghazzali Mohammed, a commissioner of police, administration at force headquarters; and Peace Abdallah, CP, force intelligence bureau, force headquarters, both promoted to assistant inspector general of police.
