On saturday 7th January 2017, former APC Chieftain and former Ahoada East Local Government Chairman, Mr Cassidy Ikegbidi and his supporters defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Rivers State Governor commended Mr Ikegbili for defecting to PDP.
Mr Cassidy Ikegbidi said he and his supporters defected because of the development strides of the governor. See photos below:
