Yahya Jammeh the president of Gambia who lost to  Adams Barrow, his opponent, in the presidential election has  refused to accept the result, claiming there were ‘abnormalities’ in the votes.

Jammeh is 22 years as leader of Gambia. After he lost in  the election, this is what he said


“You are the elected president of The Gambia, and I wish you all the best. I have no ill will.” He said at the time.

 Jammeh after accepting defeat,  he is now asking for a fresh election. 
Here is what he said

“After a thorough investigation, I have decided to reject the outcome of the recent election. I lament serious and unacceptable abnormalities which have reportedly transpired during the electoral process. I recommend fresh and transparent elections which will be officiated a God-fearing and independent electoral commission.”
