The Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, has applauded former Defence Minister, Theophilus Danjuma, for the comments he made about the Armed forces.
At the Taraba state University graduation ceremony last Saturday March 24th, Danjuma accused the Nigerian Armed forces of colluding with armed bandits that have been attacking Nigerians.
While some Nigerians have knocked the ex-military officer over his comment, Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, says Theophilus Danjuma’s statement is the “obvious truth”.
Speaking at the swearing in ceremony of some judges in Port Harcourt yesterday March 26th, Governor Wike said the federal government has abandoned its role of securing the citizens and that Nigeria is currently completely directionless and heading on a dangerous downward slide. He pledged to fast and pray for the retired military officer for God to protect him.
“Nigeria has got to a point that we don’t know where we are heading. I don’t fast, but I will fast and pray to God to keep General Danjuma. General Theophilus Danjuma has said the truth. It is happening daily in Rivers state.” he said
