The Abia State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has called for indefinite postponement of the forthcoming elections in the 17 local government areas scheduled to take place on December 17 the State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC).

Addressing newsmen at the IPAC state secretariat, the state chairman, Chief Emeka Okafor, said the elections should be postponed for shortage of time, lack of equity and level playing ground for all the political parties and candidates contesting the coming council polls.
