One of them was deported for allegedly carrying drugs while the remaining 39 were repatriated over immigration related offences.

They arrived on an Air Meridiana flight with registration number E1_FNU at around 8 p.m. They were received officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) who profiled them and allowed them and other security agencies at the airport.
The latest deportation came three days after 23 Nigerians were deported from the United Kingdom amidst gale of deportation in recent times.
