Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State is leading a team of key All Progressives Congress (APC) campaigners for the December 10 re-run elections in Rivers State.

Three senatorial districts, eight House of Representatives seats and 16 State House of Assembly are up for grab during the re-run polls.
Speaking on Wednesday, Governor Ganduje told the APC national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun that his team would consult widely with the party leaders in the state.
He promised to work for 24 hours to ensure the much needed victory for the APC because of the lack of time.
Meanwhile, the APC leaders today identified the commitment shown President Muhammadu Buhari to execute vital projects in the South-East as the reason for the defection of key political figures in the zone to the ruling party.
The APC national vice chairman, South East, Chief Emma Eneukwu, who spoke with journalists after a meeting of the South-East stakeholders held at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja, revealed plans to embark on fresh membership registration.
