Today has been hell on earth in Bida polytechnic, Niger State as students and indigenes indulged in deadly fight that resulted to the death of a student and many others injured.
According to eye witness, the cause of the riot between students and indigenes is the killing of a motorcyclist(okada man) a student of the Bida polytechnic. Report have it that all lodges where students stay in poly road(the students’ environments) were destroyed, items stollen and students beaten to stupor and some shot the Bida indigenes with guns. As the time of compiling this report, we were told that the whole Bida especially the polytechnic road is surrounded Soldiers. The State Governor, Emir of Bida and the School authority are yet to release a statement. See photos below:
