Nigeria Professional Football League heavyweights Kano Pillars and Enyimba will today at the Sani Abacha stadium in Kano go head to head in a match that is expected to attract millions across the country.
The hosts will be coming into this tie on the back of some unfavourable results in recent times including mid week’s 1-1 draw against bottom of the league team Remo Stars.
Speaking to Fever Pitch on Kadiri Ikhana’s men preparations for this massive encounter, Masu Gida media officer Idris Malikawa said the team is in high spirit and will be playing for all three points against their arch rivals in the 4pm kick off tie.
Malikawa mentioned that on their return from Sagamu on Thursday, the side rested before undergoing a light training session the following day which was upped a day after in order to be in the best possible shape for the match.
“We are in high spirit and everyone is expecting a tremendous game of football between these two sides that have been there and done it. Hopefully our fans will cheer us to victory.” He said.
Talking about fans, the Kano based side has appealed to their mammoth supporters to be peaceful and orderly throughout the game which is regarded as the Nigerian top flight El Classico.
