The police in Nasarawa State have arrested seven suspects for allegedly stabbing a secondary school student to death with a pair of scissors.


A statement the command’s spokesperson, DSP Idrisu Kennedy, said “Faisal Sada, of One Man Village, who is the principal suspect, on that day, mobilised his friends to attack the students of Government Secondary School, Koroduma, Karu Local Government Area, and in the course of a fight, he used a pair of scissors to stab one Auwalu Salisu, a student of the above named school, on his neck which resulted to his death.”
Kennedy added that one Abubakar Abdulmumini Aminu (35), a suspected kidnapper in Nasarawa Local Government Area, was also arrested operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad with 126 registered SIM cards of different networks, 14 assorted phones, one Samsung external disk, four ATM cards of different banks and N52, 640.
The statement said the command also separately arrested one Danlami Usman (29), Ngbede Amiye (18) and Joseph James (23) for criminal conspiracy, armed robbery and illegal possession of firearms while robbing along Amaku-Alagye Road.
Exhibits recovered from them include four locally made pistols, one motor-saw and irons used for the manufacturing of guns, two locally made revolvers, four rounds of 5.56mm live ammunition, two knives and one unregistered Bajaj motorcycle.
Meanwhile, the command has issued a 21-day ultimatum to persons in possession of illegal firearms to surrender or face arrest and prosecution.
