Umar Ahmed Iman, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly has resigned just one day after the lawmakers postponed their sitting as crisis rocked the Assembly.  

The Clark of the Assembly read the resignation letter to lawmakers earlier today.
Yesterday, Kogi lawmakers postponed sitting till further notice after a crisis erupted on Tuesday over an alleged plan to remove the majority leader of the House, Matthew 
Kolawole.
