Manchester City‘s all-time leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero has committed his future to the Premier League champions.
Aguero who surpassed Eric Brook‘s 78-year record last November has signed a one-year contract extension worth in the region of £220,000 per week.
The Argentina international who joined City from Atletico Madrid in 2011, will stay at the Etihad Stadium until 2021.
‘My idea was being here for 10 years,’ Aguero said. ‘I’ve been here for seven years, it’s going to be 10 when the contract expires.
‘This was the main reason I signed. I’m very happy because they have treated me very well since the first day I got here.
‘I’m very happy with everything that involves the club, my team-mates, the staff and the management team.’
