Information has gotten to us that, Abdullahi,
who hails from Kwara State just like Mohammed, was elected the APC
delegates from the North Central geo-political zone in Abuja through a
voice vote.

But
in a swift reaction, the embattled APC deputy national publicity
secretary, Comrade Timi Frank, said he remained the authentic spokesman
of the party.

The
delegates who were present and  who according to the party constitution elected Abdullahi, were the governor of Plateau
State, Barr Simon Lalong, his Niger State counterpart, Alhaji Abubakar
Sani Bello, the representatives of Kogi and Benue state governors, the
representative of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, and zonal
national vice chairman, Alhaji Zakari Idde.

Abdullahi was elected along with three other national officers.

He
was nominated the Deputy Speaker of Nasarawa State House of
Assembly, Godiya Akwashiki, while the nomination was seconded the
senator representing Niger North senatorial district.

Abdullahi,
who spoke on behalf of the three other elected officers, pledged to
project the party positively in the minds of Nigerians.

The
embattled APC deputy national publicity secretary, in a statement
yesterday, said he was not against Abdullahi as a person but “the
process to become an authentic spokesman should be followed.

“I
want to congratulate Bolaji Abdullahi for his nomination. But he should
know that this matter is still in court and until the court says
otherwise, I am still the authentic acting national publicity secretary
of APC.

Some times back I am best networks reported that The
APC deputy national secretary, Oji Ngofa released a statement saying  Frank had
“technically” expelled himself for taking the party to court.
