VOICE OF THE MORNING 29TH MAY 2018.

YOUR COURAGE IS YOUR STRENGTH.

1 Samuel 17:16  And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.

Goliath challenge was a daily one: it didn’t happen with a break but it was a consistent thing reoccurring daily for forty days.  The daily trumpet call was supported the gaints Challenging voice. From our anchor scripture, we see that he presented himself morning and evening, just as the morning and evening sacrifice was being offered. Then the challenge came, perhaps just as you wake and when you are about to go to bed-wetting you are faced with a Goliath that challenge your faith.  It is reasonable to expect that, if you get close to your master temptation will come.
Jesus just after His baptism was driven the spirit to be tempted for forty days and night(Matthew 4:1-2)
Within each enticement there’s as much potential as pioneering going to discover new lands. In a battle the soldier gets to know his enemy and also his weapons.

There were no many example for David to follow aside from being a graduate from the University of rejection and isolation in the faculty of animal kingdom. His focus became his factor of victory.
We don’t know if the son of Jesse had met Goliath before or seen him in action in some other battle.
There was no unbelief, because unbelief holds some certain amount of torment. David did not have forty battles to fight,  or forty irons in different fire. He said,  as the New Testament battler say “this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press on towards the goal.(Philippians 3:13).
Hear this: your victory is at the mercy of your pressing towards, in every life battle. David did not have to mathematically work out the equation of meeting a great gaint. In the heart of that adolescent(David) there was something larger than a range of mountains. To “Out-do” a difficulty you have to be more determined and consecrated than that which is attacking you.
