News just got to us that the Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC is currently on fire.

According to reports, the fire which began from the building behind the Press Centre inside the commission’s compound, started at about 12 noon today. Although the Fire service were contacted and as at the time of this report they were already putting off the fire.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and no official press release from the commission. We are patiently waiting for an official statement from INEC.
