It has been reported that, Police
authorities in Edo and Delta have refused to confirm or deny the
alleged kidnap of the wife of the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria
Godwin Emefiele.

It was however gathered that the wife of the CBN governor, Margaret Emefiele  was abducted gunmen on Thursday afternoon.

However, Delta
State Police Command on Friday said it was not aware of any kidnap of
any high profile citizen including Mrs. Emefiele.

Speaking on phone
with Daily trust correspondent in Asaba, Public Relations Officer of the
command, SP Celestina Kalu said the command was yet to get any
information on the incident, saying if it was true, it did not happen in
Delta State.

Speaking in the
same vein the Edo state commissioner of police Haliru Gwandu told our
correspondent on Phone that he cannot confirm the kidnap.
