The most widely written examination in West Africa, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has issued a statement approving 4th of August to 5th of September to conduct and write the Senior School Certificate Examinations, SSCE. The Minister of state for Education briefing the presidential Task Force on COVID-19 said NABTEB and NECO will commence theirs, their examinations will be immediately after WAEC concludes its examination.

Students who are yet to register for NECO examination are advised to do so as the exercise will continue, Nwajiuba said.

It was also said that Federal Ministry of Education will on Tuesday hold conclusive stakeholder meetings with NCDC and Nigeria Union of Teachers on new examination dates.
